The NYSE Basketball Development League combines Team Practices and League Play in a 8-week league. NYSE features a teaching progression to develop the skills and teach the concepts that comprise what we refer to as Basketball Intelligence.

 

The positive benefits of NYSE are:

​

• Everyone plays. Practices and league play helps players to understand the game. The goal is to encourage more repetitions in games and game-like situations.

• Less performance pressure. While we keep score during league games, there are no true licensed officials, and teams play multiple games in a session, which reduces the performance demands.

• No negative coaching. Coaches collaborate and work together, in order to create a positive atmosphere.

• More action and fun. No sitting on the bench or standing in long lines equals more fun for all players. Practices feature active, dynamic drills and small-sided games to teach concepts and train skills.

OPTIONAL NYSE TRAINING PER WEEK

(All NYSE participants will have the option to register for additional training held at the Lake Nona Performance Club)

LEAGUE GAMES EVERY SATURDAY

All games held at Lake Nona Middle School. Games are played from 9am-2pm.

What To Bring:

Please DO NOT have your player bring his/her own basketball. Basketballs will be provided. If your child brings a drink, please make sure it is labeled with his/her name. Player must wear basketball shoes to minimize the chance of possible injuries. Basketball shorts are required. (No pants please).
